Oh man! That poor guy! I wonder why they let him keep on singing? And wouldn't you get the hint to stop singing when Paula had her ears plugged, Randy's laughing and the look on Simon's face? It's so sad that there are such clueless people. I have to say the Napolean Dynamite-like music playing after he was done and his exit interview was pretty funny! You know, with all the talented people in Utah, I hate when they find the strange ones to represent our state! Oh boy!

You know, I had just read about how brutal the judges were being this season...

I confess that AI has been a guilty pleasure of mine since season 1.

The judges are certainly being more brutal this time around. Well Randy is anyway. It used to be that Simon was the huge jerk. Randy was nice about telling it like it is, and Paula - well let's just say that the rumors are most likely true, and she's too "under the influence" to be anything but sweet.

I suspect they let this guy keep on going because it made for a great clip, ergo, more people watch.

I also think that they don't show you very many of the singers they put through because they've had too many complaints about biasing audiences by only showing "their" favorites...

Whatever the case, I know I'll keep watching. It's simply wrong, yet strangely compelling.

I don't know how to sugar coat that rejection. Can't say I would like to be in that kid's shoes. They should have some pre-screening before going into the same room with Simon, Paula and Randy.

They do have pre-screening, that's what's sad!
